What is a Scene Collection?

A Scene Collection contains the scenes, menu items, control buttons, and controller mappings that are used for streaming a specific sport. You can think of them as "modes" for the app - for example, loading the Hockey scene collection can be considered loading "Hockey" mode in the app.

Choosing A Collection

You must choose which collection to use before you can begin streaming. If you are not sure, choose the "Generic" collection.

There are 5 Scene Collections that come bundled with SportStream Camera:

Generic

  • Can be used for any sport
  • Scoreboard contains only team names, logos, and score for each team
  • This is the simplest collection to use

Ringette and Hockey

  • The scoreboard includes the game clock, shot counts, score, penalty clocks
  • The Ringette collection also includes a shot clock
  • Goals and penalties include on-screen announcements with player names and numbers
  • The Game Log is populated with goal and penalty information
  • Includes the Intermission and Summary scenes

Ball

  • the scoreboard includes ball/strike counts, base occupancy indicators, current batter and pitcher names, and inning indicator
  • batter and pitcher announcement graphics

Volleyball

  • the scorebaord includes the current game score as well as the sets won by each team
Common Functionality for all Collections

Some functions are common to all Scene Collections, and work the same way for any Scene Collection you choose. For example, capturing and playing back replays is not specific to any sport.

Best Practices, For Now

When switching collections, it is safest to completely close the app and re-open it again. We are working on making switching between collections a seamless experience, but it can cause some unexpected results.
